Coach Bivins is considered one of the top kids coaches in the state of California and Team Carnage is fortunate to have someone with his wealth of knowledge and experience join the Carnage family.
Some coaches, coach because they cannot compete, Eric is a true veteran competitor with a Local, State and National wins in Greco Roman and Freestyle wrestling. Passion and grit are hallmark character traits of true champions and as a senior Eric demonstrated his sheer will to win by wresting in 6 matches in less that 4 minute to win his state qualifier only to suffer and injury at state. His determination earned him and invitation to wrestle at San Jose state, penned by Head Coach TJ Kerr. Having studied Judo, Jui-Jitsu, Kickboxing , and competing in MMA, Eric has an arsenal of knowledge to share and brings over 15 years of experience as a Head coach for a highly awarded and recognized co-ed wresting team in Sacramento Ca, at Arden Middle School. Know for his intensity and true desire to help people live up to their capabilities, Eric can be mistaken as intimidating, but make no mistake he wants his competitors to win and is setting the bar high for them, and even higher for coaches around him.

Went to Rio Linda high school where he was coached by his father, Rodrigo Jara.
In 1987 he placed 2nd in the California State Championship. After high school I started training martial arts and received his black belt In 2003. As an MMA Fighter I held 8 world titles in 4 different weight classes. Heavy Weight, Light Heavy Weight, Middle Weight , and Welter Weight. In 2013 he Earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Cassio Werneck and went on to placed 2nd in the IBJJF Masters Worlds in 2015, 2016.2017.

Coaching Championship competitors here with us at Carnage MMA for over 10 Years we truly feel blessed to have him. Troy's Martial arts journey began at just 4 years old with Taekwondo, earning his black belt at 13, his lifelong athletic pursuits led him to be victorious in local and regional competition in Martial Arts, along with other team sports including being scouted and actively recruited by NCAA Colleges in the Northeast.
His calling and true infatuation came at 20 when he found Mixed Martial arts and began to compete. Ultimately becoming a Professional fighter, Troy's in and out of ring experience and lived / learned coaching abilities makes it certain to us, that he will continue to produce future champions.
