James Fanshier plans to "Educate" his opponent at "Unleashed"
Gladiator Challenge Middleweight Champion James "The Educator" Fanshier is one of the most experienced fighters competing in GC today. With nineteen of his thirty-one career bouts coming within the confines of GC, and his first bout with the promotion taking place in 2002, fight fans have become used to his exciting brand of action.
With an 18-11 record, which includes ten TKO/KO finishes, as well as five submissions, “The Educator” has time and again shown that he can put on quite a show. During the course of his career, he’s faced some well-known fighters, including Joey Villasenor, Chris Leben, Jeremiah Metcalf, and Mike “The Joker” Guymon, and has defeated Thomas “Wildman” Denny, Ronald “The Machine Gun” Jhun, and Shannon “The Cannon” Ritch.
A training partner of Team Carnage alongside Jaime Jara and Drew Montgomery, the 39 year-old Cal Worsham-trained “Educator” is one of the most unique competitors in the sport today. He spends his nights and weekends training and fighting, but during the day he is…a middle school teacher. Fanshier holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University, and he will be looking to teach his opponent a thing or two while defending his belt at "Unleashed!"
